 What opportunities does ViewPaker see in the Indian market?

PC desktops market is the steadiest of all the other product markets in India. IDC anticipates that overall PC market in the country will increase exponentially this year, compared to 2014. Special education projects and improved business sentiments in the enterprise business will continue to drive commercial PC volumes in 2015.With digital India projects government and government-aided education buying will hold the key to growth in the commercial PC business. We see lot of scope in DIY segment since it comprises of 40%of total PC market. AIOs PCs as a segment is evolving in India. We will be meeting the demand by providing unique Barebone AIO solutions. We have created a space to match the user specific needs of hardware components and ensure interoperability, compatibility, performance and stability. Our team works towards a seamless integration of versatile solutions depending on the user-specific requirements.

Given the massive competition to the hardware market in the country, what differentiators does ViewPaker offer to the customer?

The company offers original and comprehensive Barebone AIOs with its own brand ViewPaker. ViewPaker’s barebone concept for AIO itself is unique and unmatched in PC industry till now. The product line comes with customization option, which lets the users to choose their own motherboard and equip it with standard Micro ATX power supplies. Users not only can choose motherboard, but also they have flexibility to choose processor, HDD, RAM and ODD. We have product lines, which serve the requirement of gamers, professionals, and students.

Do you intend of have a channel line? If yes, what are your strategies of ensuring channel partners put their full force behind you?

Yes, we do have channel line for our business. We have been setting up our channel line in different parts of the country and we are ensuring good margins and incentives for channel partners, moreover, our product line is quite unique and many channel partners are replacing traditional desktop with ViewPaker barebone AIO. This gives them a lot of options for customization and earn extra margin, by giving cost saving solution as compared to standard AIO. Very soon we are going to roll out partner engagement program too.

How would you describe your product against branded AIOs, since it is about the same product line?

Comparing with branded AIOs, there is limitation of flexibility in choosing specs and components. The other drawback in branded AIOs is that they use specially designed motherboard for the chassis, hence repair of the product once it’s out of warranty is quite difficult and upgrade is not very convenient. On the other hand, our offerings come with many compatible motherboards of any brands, and it can suit different form factors of motherboards, so replacing and upgrading of the specs is as convenient as regular desktops. Moreover, it gives AIOs features like sleekness, space-savings and looks.

What are your expansion strategies in the Indian market?

In India we have introduced entry-level product right now and looking at replacing the DIY desktops in the same segment. In future we will bring high- end AIOs, which will be fully configured and multiple SKUs of high-end machines for gaming PC.

This is a low cost product as far as the Indian market is concerned. Is this a strategy decision to enter a particular segment? Like maybe a students segment?

This is not at all a low cost product; this product gives you an option to make your own machine with your choice of configuration. So, as you add high configuration components your machine cost will go high and if you add low configuration components it will be an affordable machine. This is suitable for all segments and not targeted to any specific one.
